Why I Created Sensory Reiki™
A different way of experiencing healing.
For many years, I offered Reiki in the traditional way.
It was beautiful work.
It was gentle.
And again and again, I witnessed how profoundly it could support people.
But over time, I began noticing something.
People didn't just need energy healing.
They needed somewhere their entire body felt safe enough to receive it.
They didn't simply need Reiki.
They needed an experience.
One that spoke not only to their energy, but to their nervous system.
Their senses.
Their body.
Their heart.
That realization slowly became what is now Sensory Reiki™.
Healing Begins Long Before Hands Are Placed
One of the things I've learned over the years is that healing doesn't begin the moment I place my hands on someone.
It begins the moment they walk through the door.
The way a room feels matters.
The lighting matters.
The music matters.
The aroma matters.
The softness of the pareo.
The warmth of the table.
The pace of my voice.
The silence between words.
Every detail quietly communicates the same message to the nervous system:
You are safe here.
For many people, that's something they haven't felt in a very long time.
We Heal Through Our Senses
We're constantly receiving information through our senses.
Long before we consciously think,
"I'm safe."
our bodies are already deciding.
That's why every Sensory Reiki™ session is intentionally designed to support the whole person.
Not just energetically.
But physically.
Emotionally.
Sensorially.
Sometimes that means calming music.
Sometimes it means grounding scents.
Sometimes it's the gentle weight of a crystal resting on the body.
Sometimes it's intuitive craniosacral work.
Sometimes it's simply stillness.
Every element is chosen with care and intention.
More Than Reiki Alone
Reiki remains the foundation of my work.
It's the heart of every session.
But over the years I found myself naturally weaving together other modalities that supported what Reiki was already inviting.
Gentle somatic touch.
Intuitive craniosacral work.
Sensory experiences.
Breath.
Nervous system support.
Rather than keeping them separate, they began speaking to one another.
Eventually, I realized I wasn't offering several different techniques.
I was practicing one integrated methodology.
That's how Sensory Reiki™ was born.
No Two Sessions Are Ever the Same
One of the things I love most about this work is that it can't be reduced to a checklist.
Every person arrives carrying a different story.
A different nervous system.
Different experiences.
Different needs.
Because of that, every session unfolds differently.
I'm not following a script.
I'm listening.
Responding.
Allowing your body to guide the experience.
Gentle Doesn't Mean Small
We often think healing has to be dramatic.
That it needs to be intense.
Emotional.
Life-changing in a single moment.
I don't believe that.
Some of the deepest healing I've ever witnessed has been incredibly quiet.
A client taking a full breath for the first time in months.
Someone realizing their shoulders have finally relaxed.
A nervous system discovering that it no longer has to stay on high alert.
Those moments may seem small.
But they change everything.
My Hope
Every person who comes to me is different.
Some are navigating grief.
Some are overwhelmed.
Some are simply tired.
Some don't even know why they booked—they only know something inside them said yes.
No matter what brings you here, my hope remains the same.
That you leave feeling a little more like yourself.
That you feel safe with me.
I believe healing isn't about becoming someone new.
It's about remembering who you've always been beneath the stress, the expectations, and the constant noise of everyday life.
A Gentle Invitation
If you've been longing for a space where your body, mind, and nervous system are all welcomed with care, I'd be honored to share Sensory Reiki™ with you.
Whether you're here on Maui or joining me through a Distance Reiki session, my intention is this:
To create a place where you can slow down, soften, and come home to yourself.
I look forward to connecting soon.
