BEFORE YOUR SESSION

Preparing for Your Sensory Reiki™ Experience

Thank you for choosing to experience Sensory Reiki™. I'm truly honored to hold this space for you.

Below are a few gentle invitations to help you arrive grounded, relaxed, and ready to receive.

Every Sensory Reiki™ Session Is Unique

No two sessions are ever the same.

Rather than following a fixed protocol, I respond intuitively to what your body and nervous system are communicating in the moment. Each session is thoughtfully guided using a blend of Reiki, somatic touch, intuitive craniosacral work, sensory tools, and nervous system regulation—creating an experience that's unique to you.

Why Preparation Matters

Sensory Reiki™ is most powerful when your body feels safe enough to receive.

These simple invitations help create the conditions for deeper relaxation, nervous system regulation, and a more supported healing experience before we even begin.

Invitation 1: Set Your Intention

Take a moment to ask:
What do I want to feel more of?
Clarity? Calm? Energy? Grounding? Connection?

There isn't a right or wrong answer. Whatever comes forward is enough.
You can write it down, speak it aloud, or just hold it quietly in your heart.

We will talk about it at the start of our session.

Invitation 2: Prepare Your Body

While Sensory Reiki™ works with energy, it's also a deeply body-centered experience. Together we'll work with your nervous system, breath, somatic awareness, intuitive touch, craniosacral techniques, and sensory tools to support your body's natural ability to regulate and heal.

To support your system in opening:

  • Stay well-hydrated before and after

  • Eat light leading up to your session

  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol for at least 24 hours if possible

  • Please let me know before your appointment if any of the following apply:
    – Allergies to oils or salves
    – Metal implants (tuning forks can be affected)
    – Recent illness, parasite flare, or gut imbalance
    – Pregnancy or postpartum changes

These help me tailor the session with the care and sensitivity you deserve.

For your safety and to ensure you receive the greatest benefit from this work, Sensory Reiki™ isn't appropriate if you're currently using hard recreational drugs. If you're unsure whether this applies to you, please reach out before scheduling.

Invitation 3: Arrive Grounded + Open

Wear something loose and comfortable — the kind of clothes you can fully relax in.

I recommend having your neck and top of your chest open.
Minimal makeup and jewelry is best. If you’re receiving intuitive cranio sacral work, wearing your hair down makes it easier for me to work gently with the head and neck.

Invitation 4: Post-Session Integration

Healing doesn't end when the session does. Many people notice continued shifts over the next day or two as the nervous system integrates the experience.

Here’s how to support that:

  • Hydrate and rest.

  • Take a salt bath or dip in the ocean or Iao if available

  • Journal what comes up — feelings, sensations, insights

  • Go gently. Your nervous system is integrating at its own pace.

  • You may feel tired, emotional, peaceful, energized, creative, or deeply relaxed. Every experience is unique. Whatever arises, meet it with curiosity and gentleness, knowing your body is integrating in the way it needs to.

  • If anything comes up after your session or you have questions about your experience, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always happy to support you.

Thank you

Thank you for trusting me with your healing journey. It's a privilege to witness people reconnect with themselves, and I'm grateful to share this experience with you.
